On Oct. 24, 2024, at 3:30 p.m., Whitecourt RCMP responded to a report of a vehicle that failed to stop after colliding with a pedestrian at the intersection of 52 Avenue and 47 Street in the Town of Whitecourt. The 19 -year- old female pedestrian was transported to hospital by a co-worker where she was treated and later released with nonlife threatening injuries. The suspect vehicle is described as:
- Newer model Ford Escape
- Gold in color.
- Male driver, approximately 16 to 18 years of age.
- Light skin, brown hair, grey shirt and wearing a hat.
Whitecourt RCMP are asking for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or may have dash camera footage captured on Oct. 24, 2024 between 2:45 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. in the area of 52 Avenue and 47 Street in Whitecourt to contact the Whitecourt RCMP at 780-778-5454.
