Tuesday morning, we kicked off our month-long tour of reading to Grade 2 students across the region. We have plans to visit and read to hundreds of elementary students over the next four weeks. Tagging along for the fun will our friends from Friesens Corporation in Altona to share in the joy of reading.
Yesterday morning CFAM Radio 950 Morning Show Co-Host Zack Driedger & Music Director Eva Heide visited the home of the Gretna Grizzlies, Gretna Elementary School to read to a very well-behaved and inquisitive group of Grade 2's!
Every student we read to at Gretna School received a free book from Friesens, "We Need Everyone" written by Michael Redhead Champagne and illustrated by Tiff Bartel, which was printed right here in Southern Manitoba at Friesens in Altona!
Andrea from Friesens Corp. also had the opportunity to read to the students, share about how Friesens prints books and some personal stories as well.
