Heading into the Family Day long weekend and the ensuing week off in Horizon and Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools, the Humboldt and District Gallery have some downtime covered for kids.

February Break programming goes from February 18 to 21 from 1 to 5 pm each day.

There’s Perler bead crafting and scavenger hunts each day at the Museum from 1 to 5 pm. Also available each day across the street at the Gallery in the Art Corner, you can make a butterfly magnet just like one from the display “Vicissitude” on for viewing at the Gallery.

Drop in silkscreening goes on Tuesday, February 18 and Thursday, February 20 from 1:30 to 3:30 pm. You can bring a piece of clothing, tote bag or pillowcase and the staff will help you to adorn it with a silkscreened butterfly.

Get set for the excitement of the Museum Escape Room on Wednesday, February 19 from 1:30 to 3 pm. Explore the Museum, solve puzzles and escape first. The activity is geared for children 8 years plus. Pre-registration is required for the Escape Room.

The programming is free for kids at the Museum and Gallery.
