Regina Police say an estimated $1.5 million of drugs and cash were seized in a bust last Thursday and Friday.
Eight search warrants were executed in Regina, as well as in the Alameda and Frobisher areas in southeast Saskatchewan, near the US border.
Just over $151,000 in cash was recovered along with the following drugs—-7.5 kilograms of fentanyl, 476 grams of cocaine and 22 grams of methamphetamine.
Three vehicles were seized along with a restricted 9mm handgun, a 22-caliber handgun and ammunition.
The four-month investigation was led by members of the Regina Police Services Drug Unit and Street Gang Unit.
Five people have been charged—–including 24-year-old Tarick Polius and 21-year-old Michael Jourdan. The University of Regina said in a news released that the pair have been suspended from the team.
