The federal election campaign is entering its second week.

As candidates put up signs, residents may be wondering where they can vote this time around.

Canada has a new electoral map for the 2025 election. Every ten years, an independent commission redraws Canada's districts to make sure each riding has close to 100,000 people.

Canada will add more seats to its next Parliament, increasing from 338 seats to 343.

In the Bow River riding, a few changes have been made.

The Town of Vulcan is no longer in the Bow River and has been redistricted over to the riding of Foothills.

Western parts of Vulcan County have also been moved to Foothills.

Parts of Kneehill County to the north, near Linden, have also been moved to the riding of Battle River-Crowfoot.

The Bow River also includes the cities of Chestermere and Brooks.

It also includes the towns of Strathmore, Taber, Irricana, and Bassano.

Parts of Wheatland County, Newell County, and Vulcan County are also part of the riding.

The 2025 federal election has been called for April 28.
