Kindersley Denture Clinic has been a trusted name in oral care for over 50 years, beginning in 1972 when Sandy Anderson brought his expertise from Scotland to the Saskatchewan prairies. Since then, the clinic has passed through generations, with Sandy's son David continuing the tradition into the 1990s. Today, the business is in the capable hands of Caitlin Geiger, who brings passion, precision, and a deeply personal connection to her work.

Custom dental appliances, made right here

Unlike many other dental providers, Kindersley Denture Clinic handles every step of the process in-house. "From start to finish, it's all in our hands and all our responsibility," says Geiger. That means impressions, fittings, and final appliances are crafted on-site, ensuring a high standard of quality and continuity of care.

With just two people running the clinic – Geiger and longtime assistant Sherie Storos – patients receive attentive, consistent service from people who know them by name. "You know exactly who's in charge of making your appliance," Geiger adds. "It's not sent away to someone you've never met."

Meeting diverse needs with expertise and heart

Kindersley Denture Clinic specializes in removable dental appliances such as full and partial dentures, sports and night guards, and whitening trays. While the work is highly technical, Geiger says the most important part is the people: "It's not just a product. It improves look, function, and sometimes even health. That makes my heart sing."

The clinic also offers niche services like implanted dentures, providing a secure fit for those with surgical implants, and custom-made sport guards for everyone from football players to martial artists. "I even made one for my husband, who clenches his teeth while drumming," she laughs.

A return to community roots

Geiger's connection to Kindersley runs deep. Having grown up in the town, she first walked into the clinic on a whim, curious about the field. A few part-time shifts in 2014 and 2015 and a lot of mentorship later, she pursued formal training and returned to join the team in 2018. Now, as owner, she sees her role as both professional and personal.

"I liked the idea of owning something in the community where I grew up and being able to help people who need these services," she says. "It's been the most exciting part of buying this business."

More than meets the eye

Geiger emphasizes that oral health goes far beyond aesthetics. "Missing even one tooth can affect your ability to chew, your digestion, even your confidence," she says. Custom appliances ensure proper function and comfort, tailored to each person's anatomy and needs.

With only 67 registered denturists across Saskatchewan, clinics like Kindersley's are rare and essential. Geiger is proud to offer expert, accessible care to residents who might otherwise have to travel to larger centres.

"We value how things were done in the past and want to keep those traditions going," she says. "But we're also here to educate and stay connected to the community, making sure people receive quality care across the board."
