Jordan Gustafson was drafted to the Vegas Golden Knights in the 2022 NHL Draft.

Former Fort Saskatchewan Ranger Jordan Gustafson has been drafted to the Vegas Golden Knights in the 2022 NHL Draft. 

He was chosen 79th overall after an impressive 52-point season with the WHL's Seattle Thunderbirds last year.

Gustafson, an Ardrossan native played on the U16AAA and U18AAA teams during his time with the Fort Saskatchewan Rangers and just recently appeared in the Rangers Alumni Game on Jun. 15.

"It's outstanding. Any time we can get alumni drafted in the NHL is a huge accomplishment, not only for the player but also the organization as a whole," said Robert Stecyk, the president of the Fort Saskatchewan Rangers. 

The 2022 NHL draft wraps up today (July 8) in Montreal, Quebec.
