Memories of yesteryear came to life in Middle Lake, with the first ever Three Lakes Heritage Festival that took place on Saturday. The Community Cultural Hub served as the anchor for displays and activities throughout the day.
“We’ve been really pleased with people stepping up and giving us a hand setting up tents and hauling chairs,” said Dori Cooke with the organizational committee. “We were able to finish our displays last night and so we’re relaxing today and enjoying it all.”
The Hub had homemade bread and butter for sampling as the kids rode by in a bicycle parade. Mini-pony carriage rides, courtesy of Allan Jaeb, were also on hand for the kids with bouncy castles and entertainment throughout the afternoon.
The morning’s breakfast was hosted by the Faith Lutheran Church raising funds for a new roof on their building. The evening wrapped up with a dance featuring the music of Donny Parenteau.
Enjoy the sights of a wonderful Saturday, sharing the first Heritage Festival in Middle Lake.
