The Canadian Football League playoffs are still six weeks away, but the Saskatchewan Roughriders (5-7-1) are facing a must win game when they head to Calgary to meet the Stampeders (4-8-1).
After beginning the season on top of the Western Division with a 5-1 start, the Roughriders have struggled, going winless in their last seven games. They now find themselves in third spot, three points back of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (7-6) and BC Lions (7-7).

Kayden Stroeder named to Team Sask for WHL Cup
Lanigan’s Kayden Stroeder has been selected to represent Team Saskatchewan at the 2024 WHL Cup in Red Deer next month.
The WHL Cup features the best 2009-born hockey players in western Canada, with teams from Saskatchewan, Alberta, Manitoba and British Columbia, giving the players to showcase their skills in front of scouts.

On Wednesday, St. Peters College and USask College of Nursing celebrated the first intake of Bachelor of Science Nursing (BSN) students in Muenster with a formal signing of the agreement.

Broncos split final preseason games against Mustangs
The Broncos finished off the preseason with a weekend split against the Melfort Mustangs. On Friday, the Broncos shutout the Mustangs 6-0 and to wrap up the exhibition schedule, Melfort skated away with a 5-1 victory.
In the Broncos home-ice victory, Jacob Strizzi had a pair of goals, Boris Kofman, Conner Miller, Tyce Penrod, and Tre Fouquette rounded out the scoring.
