Watrous and Wynyard added to virtual physician program

The Saskatchewan Health Authority has announced the implementation of the virtual physician program for the emergency departments (ED) for both Watrous District Health Complex and Wynyard Hospital.  

With the addition of Watrous and Wynyard, 26 communities in Saskatchewan now have access to emergency health services via the innovative virtual care strategy.

On Saturday May 3, the Lions Club in Wakaw will be recognizing the occasion with an event that invites the entire community to celebrate the important milestone.  

Leroy's town wide event flourishing into its fourth year

As the town of Leroy continues to grow, so does the annual Town Wide Event organized by the Leroy and District Recreation Board.  

It began as a community wide garage sale, but Recreation Administrator Amy Schreiner says the event has grown over the last few years to include additional events. 

“As our town has been growing, we’ve had to grab that momentum and worked with our events to make them bigger as well.” 

CAA Saskatchewan begin 2025 worst road campaign

If there’s a road that you think is in poor condition, CAA Saskatchewan wants to hear from you. 

Once again, CAA Saskatchewan has launched their Worst Roads Campaign.  

Over the next four weeks, individuals are encouraged to submit their nomination for the that they feel are a safety concern for motorists.  

Between April 8-29, you can nominate and vote for the worst road.  

Saskatchewan government launches campaign to recruit physicians from the United States

The Saskatchewan government alongside the Saskatchewan Healthcare Recruitment Agency (SHRA) have launched a digital campaign aimed at recruiting physicians from the United States to consider working in Saskatchewan.  

Included inside of the pitch are current career opportunities, upcoming physician-focused information webinars and the promotion of benefits including such as competitive compensation, lower cost of living, work/life balance and stability offered in the province.
