Broncos partner with Nickelodeon for nautical novelty

A brand-new event will be making its way to Swift Current this weekend as the Broncos host their first ever Nickelodeon Night. 

The event will make its debut after the partnership between the WHL, and RE/MAX was extended for the next three seasons. 

In celebration, the WHL unveiled a brand-new charitable initiative which is driven by RE/MAX, partnering with Paramount Global, the parent company of Nickelodeon.

Viral challenge makes a comeback

Joanne Schatkoski, development manager for the Swift Current SPCA, said that this year they are hoping to match last year’s total. 

Southwest communities benefit from provincial grant

The latest round of grants from Saskatchewan’s Provincial Traffic Safety Fund are being rolled out to 62 communities across the province. 

The Provincial Traffic Safety Fund was established in 2019, with grants being awarded to communities twice a year, using proceeds from Photo Speed Enforcement. 

Minister Don Morgan explained that the funds for the projects will be transferred promptly.

Swift Current non profit receives truck load of donations

Christmas came a day early for The Family Resource Centre in Swift Current thanks to the hard work of one local business owner and the generosity of the community. 

In the third year of the Holiday Fundraiser, put on by Allure Nail Salon & Boutique, over 850 items were dropped off to the local nonprofit on Christmas Eve.
