Manitou Arena plans major renovations with community support
The Manitou Community Arena has been a pillar of the town since the mid-1960s, and while it continues to be a source of local pride, some parts of the facility are due for a refresh.
Don McLean, chairman of the Manitou Arena Board, says, “We did a big major renovation in 2015 to our upstairs and our kitchen area, but some of the areas like the change rooms and washrooms in the basement just haven’t seen change for quite a while. We’re looking at trying to make some upgrades.”

Peter B. Zacharias, 87, of Morris passed away Tuesday, April 15th at Red River Valley Lodge. He is survived by 1 daughter, 3 sons, 3 sisters, 4 brothers, and their families. He was predeceased by his wife Margaretha, 1 sister, and 1 brother.
The funeral service for Peter B. Zacharias will be held Monday, April 21st at 2pm at Morris Emmanuel Baptist Church with burial at Morris Cemetery.
