Camp Day is back at Tim Hortons

All proceeds from your Tim Hortons coffee on Wednesday will go towards sending youth from underserved communities to Tims Camps.

To support Camp Day, customers can order a hot or iced coffee at any Tim Hortons location, order a Tim Hortons take 12 to share with co-workers, or purchase a Camp Day bracelet or a pair of camp-themed socks. 

Camp Day has helped more than 300,000 youth between the ages of 12 to 16 through a multi-year camp-based program.

Balgonie man's arrest leads to 2,000 grams of fentanyl seized

A man from Balgonie Sask. was arrested following an investigation that led to over 2,000 grams of fentanyl being seized.

On, July 8, the Regina Police Service Drug Unit, the Street Crimes Unit, and the K9 unit completed an investigation concerning drug trafficking in the area. 

A search warrant was executed on a residence in Balgonie, and as a result of the enforcement, 39-year-old Mathew James McDonald of Balgonie was arrested and charged.

Good Samaritan injured after entering burning apartment

A Winnipeg man is recovering from injuries he sustained after attempting to search an apartment building that was on fire on Sunday morning.

Firefighters were called to the 0 to 100 block of Renfrew Street for a fire in a two-storey building just after 10 a.m.

When crews arrived at the scene, they encountered smoke coming from the structure. An offensive attack was launched and the fire was declared under control at 10:51 a.m., the City of Winnipeg says in a release.

Fire crews contain fire at CP Rail

The Moose Jaw Fire Department has contained a grass fire at CP Rail.

A grass fire broke out on the south side of the CP Rail yard on Saturday evening. 

Fire crews have contained the fire, but the cause is still unknown.

Charges laid following Friday night stabbing

A man was left with non-life-threatening injuries following a stabbing on the zero block of Manitoba Street East on Friday night.

The Moose Jaw Police Service was called to the scene at around 10:20 p.m. and the victim was transported to the hospital.

A 21-year-old man was arrested and has been charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon. Police have not released the name of the suspect.

The man will be making his first court appearance on Monday morning.

UPDATE: RCMP cancels Dangerous Person Alert

The Sask. RCMP has cancelled the Dangerous Person Alert issued in Langham, SK. The take shelter notice has been cancelled as well. 

Police believe there is no further risk to public safety.

The RCMP is still asking the public to continue to report tips and information to the police, as the investigation is ongoing.

One person is confirmed dead after RCMP responded to a report of a shooting incident in Langham early Friday morning.

BREAKING: 44-year-old man in serious condition after downtown shooting

A 44-year-old man sustained serious injuries following a shooting on Tuesday.

The Moose Jaw Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at an apartment building on the 200 block of High St. E on Tuesday to find no fire had occurred.

Emergency responders discovered that a man had been shot and required immediate attention. 

The Moose Jaw Police Service was immediately called to the scene and charged the 34-year-old suspect with attempted murder, whose name was not released, without incident.

The firearm was recovered. 

UPDATE: Accident on Highway 1 causes serious injuries

The two-vehicle collision that occurred on Sunday left both lone occupants of the vehicles with injuries. 

According to the Moose Jaw Police Service, one vehicle was northbound crossing to the Moose Jaw Sanitary Landfill, while the other was westbound on Highway 1 when the collision occurred.

One occupant was released from the local hospital shortly after, while the occupant of the other vehicle was transported to Regina in serious but stable conditions.
