It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lonnie Raymond Joseph - Hossimibines.  Hossimibines passed away June 14, 2022, surrounded by his paternal and maternal family at the Winnipeg Health Sciences Centre.

Helen Rose Proulx
October 24, 1970 – June 14, 2022

It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Helen Rose Proulx (nee Keyes, Keewatin), she began her spiritual journey on June 14, 2022 at 8:45 am at the age of 50 years from heart disease at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Science Centre with her husband Robert Jack (Bobbage) by her side.

Helen was predeceased by her mother Florence Keewatin, her brother TC Keesick, grandparents George Keewatin and Margaret Fisher, adoptive father Gordon Keyes and aunt Irene Taypaywaykejick.

With family by her side our beloved Wife, Mother, GramJam, Graminator and Fishing Grandma Susan Adams of Iskatewizaagegan #39 Independent Nation (Shoal Lake) passed on June 11, 2022, at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, at the age of 55 years. 

Tyrese Belmore
September 24, 2001 – June 1, 2022

With the sad news of Tyrese Belmore a first nation member of Saugeen, ON at the age of 20 years old has passed away on June 1, 2022 on the way to Thunder Bay Regional Hospital.

Tyrese will be remembered by all his ndaweemaa Tyson Belmore, Tyler Belmore, Tyrah Belmore, Keith Lawson, Anthony Belmore, Dawnis Belmore, Tabatha Belmore, Chase Belmore, and Kenzie Whyte. Along with his two fathers Claude Whyte and Keith Lawson, as well the rest of his beshwaji and kin.

Ronald Douglas Tacknyk, age 76, passed away peacefully at the Lake of the Woods Hospital on June 10, 2022.

Predeceased by his father, Nick Tacknyk, mother Jessie Strabek, Step-father Nick Strabek, sister Kathy Favreau and cousin Roy Tacknyk.

Bobby Ivan Junior Langlois December 27, 1970 – June 4, 2022 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Bobby Ivan Junior Langlois, who left this world on June 4, 2022. Bobby is predeceased by his nephew Tanner Lindstrom, grandparents Edward Sr. and May Williams, uncles Ralph, Claude, Eddie Jr. and aunt Eileen Ogemah. Bobby is survived by his mother Irene Williams, father Floyd Gibbins (Sonny), sister Leona Williams, niece Jerica Rane, great niece Elexsiya Lindstrom and father Robert Langlois (Wendy). He will also be missed by many cousins and friends.

Judy Garrison passed away peacefully at home, with family by her side, in the early morning of Friday November 26, 2021. Judy was born July 27, 1942, in Winnipeg Manitoba. Mom moved to Kenora in 1958.

Judy is survived by her children:  Cathy (Kelly), Linda (Leonard), Gilbert, Karen (Greg). Three grandchildren: Luke, Hayley, Megan and three great grandchildren: William, James and Sophia. 

Her three sisters: Lillian (Don), Gladys, and Claire. God daughter Cindy, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mom was an excellent cook and baker.
