It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear son, brother, uncle, nephew, grandson, cousin, and friend Trent Hunter.

Trent was predeceased by his mother Christa Hunter, Grandma's Marie Hunter, Marina Smith and Delores McDonald. His Papa George Land, Great Grandparents Robert and Noella Kent, Uncle Ricky McDonald and Aunt Georgina McDonald.

Bernadette Bannatyne, age 59, of Vancouver, British Columbia passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021. Bernadette was born September 23, 1962 in Ear Falls, Ontario.

Awake service for Bernadette will be held Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Norman Community Club, Kenora, Ontario. A Traditional Funeral ceremony will be conducted by Mide'kiwenzie of Ki'eshgitabaaning on Friday, December 24, 2021 at 9:00 AM at Norman Community Club. Burial will follow at Lake of the Woods Cemetery.

With his beloved family by his side, Roland Chartrand passed away at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital on December 11, 2021 after 9 p.m.

Born in Camperville, MB, and youngest brother of his immediate family. Roland was raised from humble beginnings and his family remembers that “he was in no way little. He was very outspoken; educated; easy-going; strong; multilingual; competitive; as well as a loving grandfather and husband”.

Anna Pinesse, a resident of Shoal Lake 39 First Nation passed away on Saturday December 4, 2021 at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital.

She was predeceased by her parents Mary and Norbert Fox, ex-husband Norman Pinesse Sr., her siblings Paul, John, Laura, Dinah, Elmer and Henry Fox, her sons Ronald and Norman D. Pinesse.

Peacefully, With her kids and family by her side, Doreen Clarke passed away on December 5th, 2021 at the age of 54.

She is remembered by her life partner, Fred Pavey, her children Ryan, Jessica, Davidson, her grandchildren Noah, Aubrie, Layna, layla, Arlo, Jamie, Nyjah.

She was predeceased by her parents, Doris Ogemah and Gilbert Lands, her brother Clifton and sister Cathy.

She was predeceased by her parents Mitchell and Lydia Muckle, her brothers Kenneth, Ronald, Jerry, Carl and Wally, his sisters Maryella and Rose, as well as her in-laws Billy Sr. and Agnes, her sons Justin, Terry, Kelvin, daughters Emily and Melissa, brother in laws Johnny, Tommy Sr., Barney and sister in law Dorothy.

Jeremarie Olivia Bishop was born in Rockport, Maine (U.S.A), December 24, 1977. She is a proud member of Onigaming First Nations, Ontario, Treaty #3, and belongs to Bear Clan. She is also known lovingly as Jere.

Jeremarie leaves behind her mother Jean Bishop (nee Copenace) of Onigaming First Nations. She also leaves her sisters Lori M. Mainville (partner Mike), Patricia Mainville, Michelle Mainville, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunties, uncles, and relatives.
