Jody Leigh Kufflick (Alcock) February 2, 1966 – November 13, 2021

With broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of “Jode” our Mother, sister, friend and auntie at the age of 55 years.

Jody is survived by her daughter Ceana (Bren), Grant Alcock, her brothers Rob (Adele) and Glen, her nephews Stephen, John and Mitch Kufflick, as well as many loving aunts, uncle and cousins.

Peacefully, in the early morning of September 19th, 2021. Mary Wojtowicz passed away at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital with her children by her side.

Mary was born in Winnipeg to John and Pauline Bohachuk. Shortly afterwards, her family moved to Rennie Manitoba and in 1942 her dad was transferred to Kenora. She attended Central School and Kenora High School. Upon graduation she met Mike Wojtowicz, the love of her life. They were married in 1952 and made Kenora their permanent home.

Kirk suddenly passed at his home in Iskatewizaagegan #39 with close friends and family by his side. He leaves his father, Earl (Shona) Wapioke, siblings EJ and Kristen, nephews Quilyn and Zayde. His aunts, Bernice, Vivian, Corrina, Lorraine, Eleanor and his uncles, Lorne, John, Albert Jr, Barry, Farrell and Harvey. He has numerous close cousins (too many to mention), nieces, nephews, close family and many best friends.

Cole was a resident of Keewatin, Ontario passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at the age of 25.

He was predeceased by his mother Rose Assin, grandfather George Assin, great grandmother Mary Assin (Smith), aunt Gloria Assin, uncles Frankie and Gary Assin and his great grandmother Alice Fisher (velcro shoe Cheeshkee), and grandmother Grace Assin.

Georgina May (JO) Peacock

After a long and happy life Georgina May (Jo) Peacock passed away peacefully on November 9, 2021. Jo was born on December 10, 1935 in Kenora, Ontario to Violet and George Page. She married Charles Norman (Bud) Peacock on January 9, 1954.

Jo was predeceased by her husband Bud, brothers Robert and Ernie, sister Margaret and son-in-law Cal Lajeunesse.

Edna Faye Newman

At the time of her choosing and surrounded by her loving family, Edna passed in faith from this world to the next at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital.

Edna is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Berkeley, her two sons, Scott (Linda) of Kenora, Michael (Linda) of Thunder Bay and her beloved grandchildren Kara, Erik and Savanna. She is also survived by her sister Cathy (Frank) Farmer of Richmond Virginia, nieces Deborah, Melissa and Kerry.

Arnold Canfield

Arnold Edward Canfield January 18, 1928 - November 5, 2021

Arnold passed away peacefully at Pinecrest Home for the Aged on November 5, 2021 at the age 93.

He lived all his life in Kenora as was a man of many trades and master of all. He was always happy to lend a helping hand whenever asked and expected nothing in return. He was the go-to person if you needed something.

It is with great shock and sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our son, James Alan Keck. At 35 years young, James passed away from undiagnosed heart disease, leaving behind the light of his life, his daughter Lily-Jade, son Nathaniel, mother Lupita (Charlie), father Scott, brother Mark (Laura), and numerous family members here and in Mexico and California.
