Brent Sky, age 32, of Shoal Lake 40, Ontario passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2021. Brent was born April 16, 1989 in Kenora, Ontario.

Awake service for Brent will be held Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Shoal Lake 40 Arena, Shoal Lake 40, Ontario. A funeral service will occur Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 9:30 AM at Shoal Lake 40 Arena.

Charles 'Webb' Engstrom

Charles 'Webb' Engstrom February 17, 1928 - October 28, 2021

It is with much sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Webb, with his family by his side.

Webb was a lifelong resident of Kenora. He started his law career with the Ontario Provincial Police at the young age of 19. He later accepted a position with the Kenora Police Department, and in 1970, became Chief of Police, a position he held until his retirement. He was well respected by all of his officers.

John (Jack) A. Cederlund

Jack passed away on Friday, October 22, 2021 at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital with his daughter by his side.

He was born April 21, 1930 at home in Pinewood, Ontario.

Jack was predeceased by his wife Evelyn (November 30, 2012).

Jack is survived by his daughter Susan (Brent) of Calgary, Alberta, his sister and brother in law Betty and Walter in B.C. and their families and cousins and their families in Thunder Bay.

JUNE 12, 1924 – OCTOBER 25, 2021

Our uncle Paul, a resident of Wiigwas Elder and Senior Care (formerly Birchwood Terrace) in Kenora passed away on October 25th, 2021 at the age of 97 years.

The Reynolds family owned and operated Shangr-La Camp for many years. Paul is the last of five siblings. There are numerous nieces/nephews, that had the privilege of having Paul for an Uncle. He was one of a kind. He was always there to lend a helping hand for whoever needed it. I'm going to miss my Friend.

Larry Hardy

Larry Earnest Herbert Hardy November 4, 1947 - October 23, 2021

Larry passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Pinecrest Home for the Aged.

He was predeceased by his parents Lil and Garnet Hardy and his maternal grandmother Lindsay.

He is survived by his fiancée Shari Baker, closest friends Paul Goerzen, Myron Nyberg and families. He is also survived by his brother Barry Hardy and family, daughter Shannon Triskle and family, son Kerry Hardy and family, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

With her family by her side Janice Pruys (nee Romanek) a lifelong resident of Kenora passed away on October 22, 2021 at Lake of the Woods District Hospital, at the age of 61. She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years Ron (Cat), brother Mike (daughter Reeva), 18 nieces and nephews, 23 great nieces and nephews, 13 brother and sister in-laws. She also leaves her cousin Angie Plante, who was like a sister; plus her two daughters Jess and Becky that were special to Janice.

As Frances ordered, it’s time to sharpen her toes and find a big mallet to get her into the ground. She passed away peacefully October 21, 2021. In May, she celebrated the 51st anniversary of her 39th birthday. She was a loving Mother, cherished Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.
