Funeral For:  John Elyk
Funeral Date: October 10, 2024 
John Elyk, 84, of South Junction passed away Sunday, October 6th at Bethesda Regional Health Centre. He is survived by 1 daughter, 1 daughter-in-law and their families. He was predeceased by his wife Catherine, 1 son, 1 granddaughter, and 2 brothers. 
The funeral service for John Elyck will be held Thursday, October 10th 11am at Our Lady of Assumption in South Junction with burial at the church cemetery. 
Viewing will be at the church prior to the service.

Darren passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at the age of 51 years. He was predeceased by his mother Debbie Perkins and his father-in-law Ted Obrigewitsch.

Darren loved vacations and travel; he loved hosting people at his “5 Star All-Inclusive”; he loved adventure, fireworks, toys (anything with wheels) …. he LIVED LARGE!

Family and friends meant the world to Darren and, of late, his grandson was the most precious person in his life.

I’m calling this post “Sweet Caroline!”. 

Caroline Tolmie, born December 19th, 1936 in Glasgow, Scotland, and the beloved mother of Fraser Tolmie, passed away Tuesday, October 8th, 2024.  This is my favourite picture of her.  Last night, my mother was promoted to glory, and this is a time of celebration not mourning. 

Caroline lived a life that honoured God by sacrificing for her family, putting others first, and being kind to strangers!  For those of you who knew her, you knew her wonderful sense of humour and joyful demeanour. 

Rachel G. Williams, beloved wife of the late Cliff Williams, was born on October 31, 1925, and passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Saint Teresa Place at the age of 98, one month short of turning 99. Rachel was the loving mother of son, Bob Williams; daughter, Susan Williams; son-in-law, Rick Barrett, all residing in the City of Calgary; three grandchildren, Joe, Robert and Corrina as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Lucille Johanna Wuchner (née Crone)
September 27, 1943 – October 6, 2024

It is with saddened hearts that the family of Mr. Shawn Gordon Wilson passed away on July 15, 2024 at the Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current, Saskatchewan at the age of 64 years old. At Shawn’s request there was no funeral service. 

The Funeral Service for Mr. Jacob Friesen of Swift Current will take place on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at 2:00 pm from the Sommerfeld Mennonite Church in Schoenfeld with Rev. Abe Funk officiating.

The Interment Service for Mr. Jacob Friesen will take place at the Rosenhof Cemetery, Rosenhof, SK immediately following the Funeral Service.

Funeral For:  Peter Giesbrecht 
Funeral Date: October 12, 2024 
Peter Giesbrecht, 91, of Winnipeg formerly of Gretna, passed away Wednesday, October 2nd at Winnipeg. He is survived by his loving wife Anne of 71 years; son Brian (Almuth) and children Heather and Joel; son Rod (Viola) and children Amanda and Jessica; daughter Sharon (Daryll) and children Nathan, Jillian, and Carlie. He is further survived by fourteen great-grandchildren and two sisters.

Darren Keith Orchyk, 53, of Mitchell passed away Wednesday, October 2nd at Bethesda Regional Health Centre. He is survived by his wife Dianne, 3 sons, 2 stepchildren, his father Stan, mother-in-law Susan Dueck, 2 siblings, and their families. He was predeceased by his mother Margaret Orchyk.  
A private celebration of life for Darren Keith Orchyk will take place. 
Donations may be made to Wycliffe.
