More than a third of Canadians turn to online info due to lack of doctor access: poll

A new poll suggests more than a third of Canadians say they have no choice but to seek health information online because they don’t have access to a doctor, further highlighting challenges posed by an ongoing physician shortage. 

The online survey by the Canadian Medical Association and Abacus Data conducted last November found that 37 per cent of respondents used medical advice they found online because they couldn’t access a doctor or a medical professional for help.

Open Doors Canada has released their 2025 World Watch List.

The World Watch list ranks the 50 countries in the world where it's most dangerous to live as a Christian. 

"We have different criteria that we use," said Gary Stagg, executive director of Open Doors Canada. "We do research throughout the year to determine the state of Christian persecution. And then once a year, we rank the top 50 countries where people live with the most persecution."

New online tool for collision reporting now available in Grande Prairie

A new online reporting tool is now available for drivers involved in a collision in Grande Prairie. The City of Grande Prairie and Accident Support Services International Ltd. have launched “Start From Home”, which allows drivers to initiate a report to the Collision Reporting Centre (CRC) from a smartphone or computer.

Youth male arrested for tire slashings in Grande Prairie

Grande Prairie RCMP would like to advise that following the numerous reports of tires being slashed, a subsequent investigation resulted in the identification and arrest of a youth male.

The 14-year-old youth resident of Grande Prairie who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act was charged with:

-Mischief under $5000 (Total of 23 counts)
-Fail to comply with release order
-Fail to comply with court order
