Co-founder of Mission Aviation Fellowship passes away at 103
A WWII veteran as well as the co-founder of the Christian ministry Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF), Jack Hemmings, has passed away.
On Jan. 24, 2025, at the age of 103, Hemmings passed away at a hospital in Sussex surrounded by his wife, Kate.
In 1940, at the age of just 19, Hemmings volunteered as an air crewman in WWII. After the war, he received the Air Force Cross for exemplary gallantry while flying.
Ukrainian church offers hope and assistance during foreign aid freeze

“There was just a growing sense of indifference and hardship that was going on,” he says. But the suspension of USAID funds wasn’t the main issue – far from it, in fact, according to Mock.

God isn’t in a hurry, so He didn’t have a problem waiting a quarter century before fulfilling His promise and allowing Abraham and Sarah to conceive. Who knows why He waited that long? It was His call; His timing is perfect. Personally, I believe Abraham would not have been ready any earlier. Abraham needed spiritual maturity, so the Lord waited.
Grande Prairie RCMP seek public assistance in identifying suspects in robberies
Grande Prairie RCMP have responded to 2 reports of robberies at the same business in the area of 100 Avenue, Grande Prairie and are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects.
On Jan. 22, 2025, at approximately 7:00 P.M., an unknown male was able to enter the business and had a large knife; the male made way with a large amount of jewelry from the location after assaulting an employee and damaging a display case.

Daughter of former Newsboys guitarist moves on to next round of The Voice
A year after sharing her voice with the world during a small duet with her father on The Voice, Jaydn Cree Olesen has returned as a contestant.
