Killarney leader in education receives King Charles III Coronation Medal

Killarney-Turtle Mountain Arts Council's Art Administrator, Giselle Beaupre, has dedicated her entire adult life to teaching students, or facilitating educational programs where students of many ages can learn more about their world. And she was honored this week for her years of dedicated service to her community by being awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal.

Trump says Canada will pay 'financial price' as he doubles tariffs on steel, aluminum

U.S. President Donald Trump said Canada will pay a "financial price" after vowing Tuesday to double the tariff on Canadian steel and aluminum imports in response to Ontario's surcharge on electricity exports to the United States.

"They will pay a financial price for this so big that it will be read about in History Books for many years to come!" Trump posted on social media.

Boissevain's Glover leads Pandas to CanWest title and Nationals

It's been an incredible season for Boissevain's Gracie Glover, goaltender for the U of A Pandas, who was named Goaltender of the Year for CanWest, helped her team claim the division title, and now is gearing up for Nationals.

Being introduced as Goaltender of the Year is something Glover admits takes a little getting used to. "Yeah, it sounds pretty good," Glover says with a big smile and chuckle. "My teammates were saying congratulations but it still doesn't feel real. I'm pretty honoured."
