On Monday morning of this week, Winnipegosis RCMP received a request to assist Emergency Medical Services during a patient transport from Pine Creek First Nation to a hospital in Dauphin.

On August 1, 2025, The Pas RCMP responded to three separate reports of active fires, all at different locations.
At approximately 2:40 am, officers received a report of a fully engulfed structure fire on Edwards Avenue. The building was under construction, and there were no occupants.
While on scene, officers received a report of a vehicle fire on Larose Avenue. When police arrived, a fully engulfed vehicle was located in a parking lot belonging to a business.

From Friday, August 1, 2025 to Saturday, November 15, 2025 crop residue burning is NOT AUTHORIZED, except by permit, in the municipalities of Rosser, Headingley, St. François Xavier, Cartier, Macdonald, Ritchot, Taché, Springfield, East St. Paul and West St. Paul.
For Friday, August 1, 2025 through Monday, August 4, 2025 crop residue burning is NOT AUTHORIZED in all municipalities and zones in Manitoba due to smoke from forest fires contributing to poor air quality.

Union vote on Canada Post contract offer set to wrap up Friday afternoon
Unionized workers at Canada Post are entering their final day to vote on the Crown corporation's latest contract offer.
Voting is set to wrap up today at 5 p.m., with results expected to be shared shortly after.
The offer includes wage hikes of about 13 per cent over four years but also adds part-time workers that Canada Post has said are necessary to keep the postal service afloat.
The Canadian Union of Postal Workers has urged the roughly 55,000 postal service workers it represents to reject the proposal.
