Strathmore roads closing due to reservoir upgrade
Consruction crews will be on the roads in Strathmore next week as part of a reservoir upgrade.
The Town of Strathmore has notified residents that road closures will begin Monday (June 9) in the areas of Centennial Drive and Maplewood Drive.
The construction is expected to go on throughout the week. Crews will be working to replace the watermain connection on Centennial Drive and upsize the watermain on Maplewood Drive. Improvements will also include expanding the pathways on the west side of Maplewood Drive.

On Thursday (June 5) seniors met at the church, with the social put together by Wheatland Family & Community Support Services.
"When it first started, we were lucky to get two tables full," said Ethel Bertram, a local senior. "Just before the lockdowns, there were starting to be a few more. We'd get 30 or 40 people. Since they started up again, we're getting 80 to 90 people. It's usually full."
