Edward Conrad Kopp passed away on June 12, 2025 at the age of 84 years.
Edward was predeceased by his parents, Magnus and Mary Kopp; wife, Regina Kopp; infant son, Reginald Kopp; brothers, Balzar “Bud” (Violet) Kopp, Raymond Kopp, Joseph “Joe” Kopp; sister, Margorie Kopp, and his in-laws, Frank and Barbara Kramer.
Radio stations raise more than $680K in Saskatchewan wildfire relief effort
Radio stations and media outlets across Saskatchewan came together last week in a show of unprecedented solidarity, raising more than $680,000 to support wildfire evacuees during the first-ever Saskatchewan Day of Caring for Wildfire Evacuees.
The province-wide radiothon aired June 12 across more than 60 stations and digital platforms, collecting $680,345 in donations for the Canadian Red Cross 2025 Saskatchewan Wildfires Appeal. That total is expected to climb, as donations continue to come in.

Show and Shine brings in over 200 cars, trucks, and more
The Sooline Cruisers held their annual Show and Shine in downtown Weyburn on the weekend, with over two hundred cars, trucks and motorcycles on display. From exotic sports cars like Lamborghinis, to classics like a 1954 Lincoln or a 1967 Camaro, cars of all makes and models could be found.

Weyburn local, Pam Scott, left the streets of the community to connect with her family’s history, travelling to Holland for their 80th Liberation Day celebration. Scott explains the significance of the trip comes though her grandparents.
Her maternal grandfather from the Yellowgrass area, David Robertson, served in World War Two, however, she explains she wasn’t able to hear of his experience as he passed away in the early 1980’s.
Bohn, Hill inducted into Weyburn Walk of Fame
Two more names have been added to the Weyburn Walk of Fame, as Jason Bohn and James K. Hill were formally inducted during a special ceremony in front of City Hall Saturday afternoon. Both men, honoured in different fields, spoke passionately about the lasting impact of their hometown on their lives and careers.
