David William McClure (a.k.a. “Pops”) was born in Gladstone on October 9, 1924 and passed away on September 9, 2024 at the age of 99.

It is with sadness and broken hearts we announce the unexpected passing of Kennedy Maxwell Elk July 28, 2024 resident of Dakota Tipi First Nation. Age 36.

Fond memories and thoughts of him will forever be with us, as he starts his journey to the Spirit World.

Pedro Dueck passed away on July 27, 2024 in Portage la Prairie at the age of 30.  

He is survived by his parents Heinrich and Catarina Dueck; siblings Irma (Jake) Giesbrecht, Bernie (Maria) Dueck, Betty (John) Dyck, Henry (Janae) Dueck, as well as many beloved aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

He is predeceased by his sister Yesania Dueck, brother David Dueck, and his grandparents Peter and Susana Dueck, Ben and Elizabeth Martens.

Funeral Service will take place on August 1, 2024 1:00 PM at MacGregor Sommerfeld Church

Neil Christoffersen passed away on July 24, 2024 in Brandon at the age of 73.

Neil (or Randy as he was known as a kid) was born in Carberry, MB. He grew up in Austin, MB in the same CP section house that he loved.

Abraham "Abe" Wiebe born Aug. 3, 1947 to Peter and Margaretha (Fehr) Wiebe in Winkler, MB. Passed into glory July 22nd, 2024.

Survived by wife Joyce, daughter Laura (Blane) Cyopeck, Kaitlyn, Nicole, Robert and Kaitlyn, son Michael (Shannon) Calib, Isaiah, Tristan, Paul, Odessa, Sophia, Declan and Ezekial (Zeke). Brothers Jake (Joyce), sister-in-law Irma, George (Kathy), sister Anne, many nieces and nephews.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Helen Neufeld nee Sawatzky on June 25,2024 at the MacGregor Health Center at the age of 85.

Mom was born in Gretna Manitoba to John and Susanna Sawatzky on August 24, 1938. On April 29,1961 she married her true love Jake Neufeld, and their story began. Together they raised 4 children, and with Dad on the road as a long-haul truck driver a lot of that raising was left to Mom. But she seldom said, "wait till your Dad gets home" She dealt with things swiftly and usually with a lot of yelling.

After many years coping with Parkinsons, it is with sadness to announce the passing of Emil Bulas, age 87 yrs, on June 20, 2024 at Neepawa Country Meadows Care Home.

Emil was the second child of four siblings born to John & Nellie (nee: Zuke) Bulas in the district of Alonsa, Mb on Oct.17, 1936.

Elsie Rempel of Portage la Prairie, formerly of MacGregor, passed away on May 21, 2024 at the age of 84. 

Funeral Service will take place on Monday, May 27 at 2pm at MacGregor EM Church. Viewing before the service, from 12 - 2 

Interment will be at Austin Sommerfeld Cemetery. 

Donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. 

Asgar Sigurdson passed away on February 14, 2024 at the Third Crossing Manor in Gladstone at the age of 85 years.  

Viewing will be on Monday, February 19, 2024 from 7 - 8 pm at Clarke's Funeral Home in Gladstone.

Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, February 20th at 2pm at the Langruth Hall, Langruth, MB.  

Cynthia “Margaret” Rose Ginter (Fidler), long time resident of Glenella, passed away on February 11, 2024 in Deloraine, at the age of 88 years. 

Cynthia was born in Dry River Municipality of Manitoba to Ben and Rose Fidler on June 22, 1935. The family moved to Ethel Saskatchewan for several years and then back to Glenora and Neelin Manitoba.
