St. Michael School prepares students for winter weather challenges

The snow is here, and St. Michael School is gearing up as the colder months settle in to ensure students are ready for winter’s challenges.

Principal Sabrina Gulka emphasized the importance of proper preparation for students, whether they arrive by bus, on foot, or by car.  

“Winter is among us now, so we always recommend our students come to school with ski pants—that’s important. They’re outside at recess, so a good, warm jacket that repels water is key. And don’t forget two mitts and a neck warmer,” said Gulka.  

Rib Night in support of Wrubleski Family

On November 22, a Rib Night Fundraiser is happening at the Crushed Can Rec Room and Bar in support of Landin Wrubleski and his family.

At age 13, Landin was diagnosed with High-Risk B-cell lymphoblastic Leukemia. He was 7 months in maintenance chemo, when cancer cells were seen again in his monthly bloodwork.

After spending time at JPCH in Saskatoon, Landin will undergo a bone marrow transplant in either Calgary or Winnipeg, which will send him away from home for 3-4 months.

Ryan McMahon takes to the stage tonight for Stars for Saskatchewan

The Stars For Saskatchewan concert series will be presenting their next performance tonight as Ryan McMahon takes to the stage at the Events Center at the Living Sky Casino. 

McMahon has been creating music for the past 25 years and is sure to put on a fantastic show for everyone. In a press release from the Organization Of Saskatchewan Arts Councils it explains that McMahon "has toured with some of Canada’s greatest rock icons Burton Cummings and Tom Cochrane and received rave reviews from audiences".
