'Advocate for yourself': Twin sisters battling cancer together, diagnosed at 29

Twin sisters Cortney Drover and Connie Claeys were both diagnosed with breast cancer at the early age of 29. Together they are using their platform to raise awareness to help women across Canada.

"I got diagnosed first," says Drover. "I'm the older twin by five minutes. Back in 2015, I found a lump under my arm. Not being educated in cancer at all, I thought it was nothing. I went to Emergency and they thought it was just a cold and that my lymph nodes were enlarged. It was my mom who kept pretty much begging me to go get it looked at."

The Muenster Elks celebrate 50 years of active service

The Muenster Elks celebrated their 50th Anniversary as a chapter with an informal supper and program for members and significant others. The membership gathered on Saturday, October 26 at the Muenster Curling Club, their traditional headquarters of operation.

After a gathering hour and a lovely meal, members and guests reminisced about major events, club-based hi-jinks, and the thousands of hours of service leading to thousands of dollars generated by the organization for local charities.

McGillivray in the morning moments

I managed to get out for a country cruise Sunday and was fortunate to find a few moose. This young fella found some green grass and was very reluctant to give it up. He decided having his photo taken and still be able to enjoy the grass was a good deal. The entire shoot lasted about 15 minutes before he got a little too far away, while still munching on the green grass.
