Hippo-hops and shark-shimmies light up the neighbourhood
A pair of local teens are turning heads and warming hearts as they dance their way through a busy neighborhood, gearing up for Halloween in a most unexpected way. Meet the self-proclaimed "Baby Shark" and "Petunia Hippo," who have been spreading joy on the streets, decked out in impromptu costumes and groovy moves.
When asked why they decided to break into spontaneous dance performances, Hippo, age 15, giggled, "I was just bored." Meanwhile, Shark, age 17, had a more seasonal answer: "I guess Halloween's almost here!"
Why make a mess at home when you can carve your pumpkins at the Weyburn Public Library?
The Weyburn Public Library is making it easy for families to take part in the annual tradition of pumpkin-carving this Thursday, October 24th, with two time slots and plenty of room for all of the gutting and cutting involved in making jack-o-lanterns just in time for Halloween.
The best part - the mess doesn't have to be made on your kitchen table.

Music uniquely brings people together, and Aitken believes this season will be no different.
"Music speaks to all of us. No matter how old we are or whatever, it doesn't matter what colour we are, music talks to all of us in its own way," she shared.

MEET BEASLEY - HAPPY CAT SANCTUARY
Beasley Male, DSH Grey. Polydactyl
You will never find Beasley far from his brother's side. In an ideal world we would like these two kept together but for the right home we will consider separating them. Beasley is bold and confident. Loves snuggles when he is not in play mode.
