The Brake for Breakfast is on at Sobey's in Portage la Prairie. The event aims to raise money and food for the breakfast program in the Portage la Prairie School Division.

Niverville Nighthawks lend a hand at Heritage Cemetery fall clean-up event
The Niverville Nighthawks took a break from their usual hockey practice to give back to the community by participating in a clean-up at the Niverville Heritage Cemetery.
The event was organized by members of the Niverville United Church and a local resident Myra Kehler, who said that the event was part of a biannual effort to spruce up the grounds.
âWe do this once in the spring and once in the fall. We spread dirt, add new grass seed, pick up garbage, and trim trees. Itâs a lot of work, but itâs so worth it.â
