Friday, August 8:

As part of Nature Fridays in Okotoks, this week, they will be teaching about wetlands at the Okotoks Environmental Education Centre from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. At this, youth will discover the amazing world of wetlands and how they are essential ecosystems.

A bargain-hunter's dream event will go live next week: Golden West's DiscoverWeyburn Online Auction.

Registration opened up today for the DiscoverWeyburn Online Auction, which will go live on August 13th. Hundreds of local items will be up for grabs, with everything from gift cards to local restaurants and hotel stays, to great local products and services.

The CHVN Cruiser visited the Celtic Ireland Pavilion on Thursday evening at the Fort Garry Curling Club, 696 Archibald Street.

We were then transported to the Caribbean Pavilion at the Centre Culturel Franco-Manitobain, 340 Provencher Boulevard. The Cruiser finished off its night at the Spain Pavilion at the Notre Dame Recreational Centre, 271 Ave. de la Cathedrale.

This weekend, Winkler will be buzzing as the annual Harvest Festival takes over the city from August 8th to 10th.

Along with a parade, a midway, live musical entertainment, and an all-star line-up of food trucks, there will also be a variety of programming for children, including a petting zoo, obstacle course, and princess/hero pictures.
