This year's theme is, "Smoke alarms: Make them work for you!”.

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) reports that working smoke alarms reduce the risk of dying in a home fire by more than 50 per cent. Despite this, nearly 60 per cent of home fire deaths happen in homes without working smoke alarms or no alarms at all.

Explore the changing colours of the prairies with Nature Norm

Adventures with Nature Norm is welcoming in fall with a tour showing off the fall colours in the tall-grass prairie.

The tour is this upcoming Saturday, and Norm Gregoire believes it will be the perfect time to appreciate the fall colours.

“We're already starting to notice a lot of the aspens are changing colors, but there is still a fair amount of green ones. I'm not sure if it has to do with the warm weather that we've had, but it seems like we're having a pretty warm fall here, which definitely correlates with a little bit later foliage than usual.”
