The Jays beat Detroit on Thursday for win #61 on the season, tops in the American League entering play on Friday, the Jays only tied with Milwaukee for the most wins in Major League Baseball.

When you are learning how to drive, there are a number of key things you learn. You learn about yielding to pedestrians. You learn about when to turn on a red light. And you learn about uncontrolled intersections. Or, you should have.

There must have been something in the water the last few days. Yesterday in particular, aside from stopping prior to an individual on my left at a 4 way stop, and having them gun it to go first, I was almost hit twice at uncontrolled intersections, because choosing to yield to the person on your right is too much work.

Turnout numbers keep growing for the Thursday night Bingo at Nickle Lake Regional Park - with 93 in attendance last night. 

"It was great to see that great turnout, so and we're shooting for 100 this coming week," shared Park Manager Darren Wheeler.

He said the Bingo nights, along with the 50/50 raffles drawn every other Sunday are all part of the ongoing fundraising for the new water feature they plan to begin building at the park next season and to help with park upgrades.

CHVN is turning 25, and you're getting the presents!

The party is at True North Square on September 10 from 5 to 7 p.m. and is going to feature over 100 finalists and one grand prize winner will walk away with a $10,000 prize!

Up for grabs is a $10,000 bursary from Booth University College, a living room package from Furniture Villa Brand Source, a trip to Italy from Indigeno Travel, a luxury furniture shopping spree from Luxe Furniture Company, and a home plumbing upgrade from Aloha Plumbing & Drain Service.

Doodles is all about fun! He loves knocking over his stacking cups like a little champ, and when it’s time to wind down, he’s all about gentle pets and snuggles.

Over 50 people attended the Winnipeg Fringe Festival show, 'An Improvised John Hughes Movie', on Friday at the Centre Culturel Franco-Manitobain. 

We enjoyed this improv show so much the first time on Tuesday that we went back for a second time on Friday. The show used the styles and tropes popular in John Hughes' movies.

With a similar structure to Tuesday's show, audience suggestions were incorporated into the show but led to different results.

It will be warm all weekend, which will be great for all that's happening in the Foothills this weekend.

Friday, July 25:

The Nooks & Crannies Festival has caused art to be hidden around the Town of Okotoks. This event will run until Aug. 23, and people are able to take in the public art for free.

Our Moo for Meat contest is in full swing and all you have to do is listen for our sound of the cow.

If you hear our friendly bovine mooing text us 'meat' for your chance to win!
