Starting off a new year for Classroom of the Month at Ecole Centennial!

Colin Powers and Chris Martens made their first Classroom of the Month visit for the school year to Mme Barber's Grade 1 French Immersion Class at École Centennial School on Thursday, and they were also joined by Rylan Gould and Luke Mistelbacher of the Swift Current Broncos!

The students and substitute teacher Mme Cornelson enjoyed pizza from Boston Pizza, and we brought along some great prizes from Layered Brilliance 3D, Sewline Upholstery and Thistle Be Dandy. Plus, Rylan and Luke had youth ticket vouchers for a future Swift Current Broncos home game for each of the students!

Spectacular night at Scott Woods' 'Yee-Haw!' show in Humboldt

Humboldt's Legion Hall was alive with energy on September 25 as Scott Woods and his band delivered a spectacular performance of their "Yee-Haw!" show. With around 100 attendees, the evening was packed with lively fiddle tunes, impressive step dancing, and powerful vocals that had the audience clapping, tapping, and "yee-hawing" along from start to finish.

"Fill the Bucket" with FCC's fundraising BBQ

Farm Credit Canada in Moose Jaw is hosting a "Fill the Bucket BBQ" on Wednesday October 2.

Part of their Drive Away Hunger Campaign, they will be collecting donations and raising funds to go towards the Moose Jaw and District Food Bank.

New opportunities for youth at Estevan's 48th Annual United Way Telethon

As the 48th Annual Estevan United Way Telethon approaches, organizers are extending a unique opportunity for students in grades 5 to 8 to get involved behind the scenes. This year’s theme, "YOU ARE THE COMMUNITY," emphasizes inclusivity, and United Way Estevan President Mark Pettitt says this new initiative will allow younger participants to contribute in meaningful ways.

Weyburn Comprehensive School gets set to host annual Fowl Supper

Weyburn Comprehensive School is gearing up for its highly anticipated Fowl Supper, which will be held on Thursday, October 17, from 5 to 7 p.m.

The event will take place at the Cugnet Centre and will include a delicious turkey dinner and live musical performances from the school's band and choir.

The school's cosmetology teacher, Leah Beam emphasized the event's importance.
