The Winnipeg Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing 63-year-old woman.

Police say that Thompson was last seen in the Central St. Boniface area of Winnipeg on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at approximately 12:00 p.m.

Thompson is described as female, approximately 5’1” in height, medium to heavy build, with long black hair in a ponytail.

She was last seen wearing a purple older looking puffy jacket with purple fur, purple scarf, purple sweater, and black boots.

The Saskatchewan RCMP announced late Tuesday afternoon that Edgar Kakakaway Jr. was arrested without incident on Keeseekoose First Nation.

Police did not provide any court information at the time.

Kakakaway Jr. had already been charged with the following offences following the death of a 16-year-old male that occurred early Saturday morning on Keeseekoose First Nation.

Two people were left without a place to call home after a fire at a temporary encampment in Winnipeg.

The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service says in a release that emergency crews were called to reports of a fire at the encampment just before 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15, 2022. The encampment is in the 600 block of Langside Street.

When crews arrived, they found an area of the encampment engulfed in flames and smoke. The fire was extinguished with damage to several tents and their contents.

On the anniversary of the execution of Manitoba's founding father, the Winnipeg Police Service has released a photo of a man wanted in connection to Louis Riel's headstone.

A Winnipeg man is facing a slew of charges in relation to several break-ins and thefts across the city since this summer.

The Winnipeg Police Service says that officers began investigating the individual earlier this month. Police allege the man was involved in 10 different break-ins from July 18 through

An 18-year-old has been charged in relation to a violent sexual assault at a city bus stop last week and police say he was already wanted for a string of violent assaults at other bus stops.

Snowfall Warnings have been issued from the Killarney region in the west, along the U.S. border eastward to the Ontario border, encompassing the entire Red River Valley and Southeastern corner of the province. Currently, communities including Pilot Mound, Manitou, Morden, Winkler, Altona, Emerson, Morris, Vita and Steinbach are included.
