Spring thaw brings road bans to Rocky View County
With spring weather settling in, Rocky View County has officially put its seasonal road bans into effect.
The restrictions, which began yesterday and are expected to last into early June, are aimed at protecting vulnerable roadways during the spring thaw.
Softer surfaces this time of year are more prone to damage, and limiting the weight of commercial and heavy-duty vehicles helps extend road life, reduce repair costs, and keep conditions safer for all drivers.
