VEX Robotics World Championship 2025

The 2025 VEX Robotics World Championship, presented by the REC Foundation, will be held May 6-14, 2025, at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, Texas. The annual event brings together the top VEX IQ Robotics Competition, VEX V5 Robotics Competition, and VEX U Robotics Competition teams from around the globe to celebrate their accomplishments and be crowned champions.

How the money will be utilized at The Gardens

Daizee Wiebe, Supportive Housing Coordinator at The Gardens on Tenth in Altona told us how the money from this Soup & Pie fundraiser will be put to work: "With the addition of assisted living suites, our meal program has expanded drastically. We are hoping to purchase new dining room tables and chairs for the apartments so that we can manage more seating for more tenants from the apartments and the manner who utilize our meal services."

It's a centennial celebration for Blumenort Mennonite Church this Summer

History

Karla Fehr is on the organizing committee for the Blumenort Mennonite Church Centennial Celebration and touched on the history of the church: "It was started by Mennonites who came to Manitoba in the 1920s. They had endured terrible persecution in Ukraine/Russia since 1918 and a famine in 1921. The first families came to southern Manitoba in August of 1923, and small groups started meeting for worship that fall.

Books, lattes and nostalgia at the Lowe Farm School Shop n Sip Book Fair

Lowe Farm School is very excited to be hosting, for the first time in a long time, a scholastic book fair! For the entire student body it will be first time experiencing a very nostalgic event for many of us who grew up with the iconic event.

It's taking place at the Lowe Farm School office April 22nd - 24th, 9:00am-4:00pm each day. Just come ring the doorbell and they will let you in to shop.
