After the success of the first Summer Music night back on July 3rd, Altona's Gallery in the Park is ready to host their second concert of the season, tonight! (July24th)

Held outdoor on the patio space amongst the sculpture garden and grounds, it’s a beautiful setting for a concert. The first concert saw Calllum Morrison perform solo, mother and daughter duo Nya Dubyk and Nicole Peters accompanied by Curt Friesen and the evening wrapped up with the father-daughter duo of Paul and Sara Krahn.

From poetry slams to songwriting, this weekend's returning Made in Manitoba guest has always been drawn to the written and spoken word. Thank you for joining us as we re-introduce Winnipeg's Larysa Musick. The singer-songwriter initially joined us almost exactly a year ago on the program and describes her own music as “eclectic” & “nostalgic”. Quickly becoming one of the most anticipated and exciting events of Sunflower Festival weekend in Altona, The Altona Rhineland Emergency Services Fire Truck Pull pits teams of six against each other in a head-to-head race to see who can pull a 27,000lb firetruck across a 125-foot distance the fastest!

This year the funds raised from The Fire Truck Pull are going to support the Rhineland & Area Food Bank which comes from the team signup fee of $150.

Camp with Meaning and Camp Assiniboia are celebrating 75 years of camping ministry this weekend with music, friends, food, worship and activities!

Some of the activities include; campfires, scavenger hunts, ropes course, archery, outdoors games, nature walks and more!

Plus have a full music fest planned for Saturday evening with the Sawatsky Sisters, Knackzoat, Byron Zehr & Noreen Janzen, Will Harder & Friends and Paul Dueck all taking the stage.
