Why are we seeing so many northern lights?
The Northern Lights seem to be appearing more often than usual this year.
According to Roland Dechesne, an astronomer with the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, there's a reason why we're seeing more of the aurora borealis.
"There has been a lot going on this year, and that's because the sun is in the most active portion of its 11-year solar cycle," said Dechesne.

Here's why you might be paying more for your power bills
Some Albertans may see a rise in their power bills this month.
About 800,000 Albertans on a regulated rate option (RRO) for their electricity are expected to pay a bit more than usual.
This rise comes from the end of a program from the provincial government which put a cap on power costs. The program capped charges at 13.5 cents per kilowatt hour for the first three months of the year.
Traffic changes for passing emergency vehicles delayed
Some big changes for Alberta drivers have been delayed.
Last year, changes were introduced to the Traffic Safety Amendment Act. These changes included different laws for passing emergency vehicles.
Earlier today, the Alberta government announced that they have delayed the initial start date of March 1 to September 1.
The reason for the delay was to give time to educate the public about the changes to prevent unneeded tickets.
