Outdoor enthusiasts can rejoice with a vaccine lottery just for them as the provincial government introduces the Outdoor Adventure Vaccine Lottery.
When you receive your COVID-19 vaccination, Albertans can win lifetime hunting licenses, camping experiences, and other great packages to enjoy the province’s wilderness.
Prizes include fishing licenses, and Canmore Nordic Centre ski passes. For hunters, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to win a special hunting tag for bighorn sheep, trophy pronghorn, elk, or turkey.

Officials are sharing how Manitoba's COVID-19 restrictions are loosening this weekend.
On Wednesday afternoon, Dr. Brent Roussin and Premier Brian Pallister are announcing the second stage to the 4-3-2 One Great Summer reopening Path plan. The changes will be in effect on Saturday until August 7.

Criminal activities drop, mental health calls climb
Criminal activities within the Cochrane RCMP detachment area continued to decline in 2020, but there has been a marked increase in mental health calls, including those of local youth.

Roussin, Pallister, announcing Manitoba's new health orders Wednesday
The province is taking its next step in reopenings.
At 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Manitoba's Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Brent Roussin and the province's Premier, Brian Pallister will sit side-by-side to announce Stage Two of Manitoba’s 4-3-2-One Great Summer’ Reopening Path.
Stage Two includes a 50 per cent or greater opening capacity for businesses, services and facilities. Gathering sizes are also expected to increase.
This is the last projected step before a full reopening.
