Historic St. Anne's church completes major renovations after 165 years
St. Anne's Poplar Point is one of the, if not the only, heritage buildings and churches of its era still operating as a church. Member Monica Griffiths says they just finished major renovations this past week, and for a short time, you could see the original timbers used for the walls as they were exposed during the renovation. The church was built around 1850.

He was rushed to hospital where doctors discovered that the bullet had entered his chest and exited his back without hitting any vital organs. He returned home to recover the next day.

Late last month, 10-year-old Rebecca Caldwell and her brother, 8-year-old Joshua were hosting a lemonade stand in front of their home, when a man came up to the table and robbed them while their mother was inside the house.

Juno Awards pulling Christian/Gospel category along with 3 others
The Juno Awards has told committee members that it is getting rid of four categories, including the Christian/Gospel category for the next round of awards in 2025.
The Canadian Press reports that it has verified a letter in which "organizers told committee members last week of plans to put on 'hiatus' reggae recording, children’s album, Christian/Gospel album and international album of the year."

Grant Memorial Church was packed last night with 1,000+ young adults as Bread We Break returned for season 13.
The bi-monthly worship night is geared towards young adults aged 18-30 from different denominations gathered together to praise God.
