Families and friends gathered to see the Carillon Sultans play their last home game in A.D Penner Park before prepping for provincials.
Kevin Plett is the president of Landmark Baseball, but he says he enjoys coming to watch the Sultans as a fan and a dad.
St Labre 200 races into action
July is racing by as the first weekend of the month brings Go-karting to the next level.
St Labre 200 brought Go-Karters together for a build day, and a race day featuring 100-lap heats and alumni races.
Rob Tetrault and his team from Tetrault Wealth have been attending this event for years.
Tetrault says that he has seen the event grow since the beginning.

Members from the Neepawa, Erickson, and Rapid City 4-H Beef Clubs came together for a full day of competition, teamwork, and celebration at the annual Neepawa 4-H Fat Stock Inter Club Show and Sale on July 2nd at Stride Exhibition Grounds.

Canada Day Shines Bright in Portage la Prairie
Portage la Prairie was bursting with community spirit on Tuesday as people all in and around town gathered at Stride Place to celebrate Canada Day with a full day of events, music, and family fun.
Despite a few clouds early in the day, the weather held out long enough for families to enjoy the outdoor festivities until a late-day storm brought a twist to the celebration.

The MacGregor Fair made a big return this past weekend, delivering a full three days of festivities that brought together families, horse lovers and music fans for one unforgettable celebration.
Hosted by the MacGregor Agricultural Society, this year’s event marked 140 years of tradition in the heart of the small prairie town, and the community came out in full force to celebrate.

Dancing in the rain for Canada Day: celebrations continue
The Soccer Park in Steinbach hosted Canada Day celebrations starting at 5 pm. Fireworks were originally scheduled for 10:45 pm.
Families enjoyed cupcakes, music, and games in the park, but smooth plans were interrupted by lightning and clouds covering the sky.
Bouncy castles were taken down at 9 pm, when the first signs of lightning began.
Canada Day celebrations commence in Steinbach
Canada Day celebrations began in Steinbach at the Mennonite Heritage Village from 9 am – 5 pm and continue tonight at the Soccer Park with fireworks at 10:45 pm.
The Mennonite Heritage Village started the day at 9 am with waffles and white sauce. The day continued with activities and demonstrations.
