The Richardson Pioneer Weyburn Red Wings are off to Assiniboia for the rest of December. The team is making the move as a result of the temporary closure of Crescent Point Place due to ice plant issues.
Two charged in connection to death on White Bear First Nation
The Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes Unit has charged two men in connection with a suspicious death on White Bear First Nation earlier this week.
The RCMP have charged 22-year-old Jeremy Whitebear with second-degree murder and 26-year-old Dwayne Maxie with manslaughter in connection with the death of 33-year-old Talon Lonethunder. Lonethunder was found deceased in a home on White Bear First Nation early Tuesday morning.

U13 AA, U18 AA Gold Wings dominate competition in Calgary and North Dakota
It was a good weekend for a pair of hockey teams from Weyburn.
The U13 A Young Fellow Gold Wings were off to Calgary on the weekend, where they would play in Wick Fest, one of the largest female hockey tournaments in the country. The Gold Wings would make it through round-robin undefeated and then go on to win the Platinum Championship.

MP Kitchen slams Trudeau’s holiday tax relief plan as political posturing

Saskatchewan border crossings to see hour changes in New Year
Changes are coming to the hours of operation for several border crossings in Saskatchewan. In press releases issued earlier this week by both Canada Border Services Agency and U.S. Customs and Border Protection, it was announced on the Canadian side there would be 35 land ports of entry that have the hours change on January 6th, while the American side will have the hours adjusted at 38 ports.
