A former public safety minister says he is very worried the unfolding conversation about some parliamentarians being complicit in foreign interference is becoming a "kangaroo court."
Marco Mendicino told a commission of inquiry into foreign meddling Thursday it is important to follow due process under the law before jumping to conclusions about the conduct of parliamentarians.
Game of Ding Dong Ditch goes too far in Winkler
Two people were arrested and charged with mischief after taking a round of Ding Dong Ditch too far in Winkler.
According to the Winkler Police Service, three boys attempted to kick in the door of a home on Paramount Drive, causing damage.
Through investigation, police were able to determine the identity of the three, two of whom were arrested and charged with mischief.
The third was issued a verbal caution.
Nettie Berg's 50 years of volunteering recognized at Morden Community Thrift Store
Fifty years of giving back... that's what Nettie Berg was recognized for this week after a half century of volunteering at the Morden Community Thrift Store. She was publicly thanked during the organization's donation distribution event on Monday.
"I've been doing it for fifty years, and I do it because I like the fellowship with all the people I work with, and we get along good," she shared. "It's fun. You see all kinds of different stuff coming in all the time. It's surprising."

Prairie Soundscape Choir is introducing a new and exciting experience to Morden—Pub Choir! Representatives Daniel Klauke and Heidi Friesen shared, "It's a very casual event. Anyone is welcome to come. We'll teach a song in four-part harmony, and by the end, we'll all sing together and create some beautiful music." Taking place on October 18th at Finer Spirits, the event kicks off with doors opening at 7:00 PM, and the singing starting at 7:30 PM.
Sports Update - Saturday, October 12th
Four Zone 4 teams will play in the finals at the Provincial A-AA-AAA High School Soccer championships today in Minnedosa. The Garden Valley Zodiacs will meet the Miller Aces in the girls final while the Morden Thunder will face GVC in the boys final. Morden girls will take on Niverville in the third place game.
Mason Leite scored twice as the Morden Thunder defeated the Carman Cougars 3-1. Logan Enns also found the back of the net for the defending Zone 4 High School Hockey League champions. Brody Benner had the lone goal for the Cougars.
