Unplanned outage impacting in Central Butte, Tugaske area
SaskPower crews have been dispatched to determine the cause of an unplanned outage that began early this morning.
The outage, the cause and repair time of which has yet to be determined, is impacting customers north of Central Butte to Douglas Provincial Park and the surrounding rural areas.
Warriors hire alumni Evanoff as Goaltending Coach
MOOSE JAW, Sask. – The Moose Jaw Warriors have hired alumni Adam Evanoff as the organization’s goaltending coach.
“We are excited to announce Adam Evanoff as our new goaltending coach,” said General Manager Jason Ripplinger. “Adam will bring enthusiasm and a positive attitude to our organization. We look forward to watching Adam grow in his new position.”
Evanoff, from Penticton, British Columbia, played with the Moose Jaw Warriors from 2017 to 2020 before finishing his WHL career with the Victoria Royals.

Team Saskatchewan has added four more medals to the count at this year's Canada Summer Games! Yesterday Nathan Pinno threw 16.48 metres to secure a silver medal in the men's shot put. In the evening, David Lipton scored 421 points to land a silver medal of his own in the men's para shot put.
Divers Lila Stewart and Isa Koop captured cold and silver in the Women's Artistic Dive event, after five dives Stewart was atop the standings with a score 221.70 points, Koop's final score was 198.15.

Local MP shares thoughts on Poilievre's by-election win
Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre is returning to the House of Commons, having won his by-election in Battle River-Crowfoot.
Poilievre took 80.4 per cent of the vote in a running against 213 other candidates.
Local MP Fraser Tolmie shared his reaction in a written statement:
“I want to congratulate Pierre for working hard to earn the trust of Battle River-Crowfoot constituents and securing a path back to the House of Commons so he can hold this government to account more effectively as Leader of the Opposition.”
Canada Post heads back into bargaining with union after delay
Canada Post and the union representing postal workers are set to return to the bargaining table today.
Plans to rekindle talks late last week were delayed due to a lack of federal government mediators.
The Canadian Union of Postal Workers claimed labour unrest at Air Canada was pulling attention from the postal service's dispute, which has stretched on for more than a year and a half.
