Regina Police seize 9 kilograms of fentanyl, plus other drugs
The Regina Police say the execution of a search warrant last Friday led to one of their biggest-ever fentanyl seizures.
The Regina Police Service Drug Unit and Tactical Support Officers executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant in the 1900 block of Saskatchewan Drive. Two men and one woman were arrested. One of the men was carrying a loaded handgun at the time.
The search led police to fentanyl, carfentanil, cocaine, methamphetamine, cash, and a loaded 9mm carbine rifle.

Defence asks for more time in attempted murder case
The lawyer for a man accused of attempted murder said they were not in a position to move forward with a bail hearing at Moose Jaw Provincial Court on Thursday.
Kyle Peeace appeared via video with his lawyer Nick Brown appearing over the telephone.

It wasn't that big a deal, had to make an appointment, then he found there wasn't enough room for it. And we made room for it and got it done. But it's a project, is it complete now?

Kyle Peeace bail hearing delayed
A man charged with attempted murder will have to wait a bit longer to get a bail hearing.
Kyle Peeace appeared in Moose Jaw Provincial Court on Thursday via video along with his lawyer Nick Brown via telephone.
The appearance was scheduled to be a show cause hearing. However, Brown told the court they could not run the hearing because more information was needed. He asked for an adjournment to Feb. 22.

Woman caught up in drug trafficking sting receives probation
A 40-year-old woman who was caught up in a drug trafficking investigation was sentenced to 12 months of probation for simple possession of fentanyl at Moose Jaw Provincial Court recently.
Jennifer Shirtliffe was in a relationship with Merlyn Hodgson last April when police were investigating Hodgson for trafficking fentanyl.
