The South East Cornerstone Public School Division on June 17th included what is called a Data Wall Walk. This is a review of data that focuses on student outcomes. The walk covered a variety of topics, including support for students in Grades 4 to 6, Indigenous student achievement, and the well-being of the students overall.

Alberta RCMP issue impaired driving warning on Canada Day
The Alberta RCMP is reminding residents to make safe and sober choices behind the wheel this Canada Day.
On average in Alberta, one in five drivers involved in fatal collisions had been drinking before the crash, according to MADD Canada. That compares to about one in 20 drivers in injury collisions.
During the 2024 Canada Day long weekend, seven people were fatally injured in road-related incidents within RCMP jurisdiction, and 101 impaired drivers were removed from the roads.

'Geared Up' delivers funding to five more Saskatchewan teams

Strathmore Fire Department serves over 1,500 plates in Canada Day pancake breakfast
Over 1,500 Strathmore residents visited the local fire hall to enjoy a plate of Canada Day flapjacks.
The event was hosted by the Strathmore Fire Department between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Tuesday (July 1) in partnership with Epcor. According to fire chief Dave Sturgeon, the event served between 1,600 and 2,000 residents
"This year, the funds go into our reserve, which we use to purchase specialized equipment and things that may not be on the radar for council," said Sturgeon. "In years past, they bought auto extrication equipment for removing patients out of cars."
