Santa Parade headlines this year's Moonlight Madness
The seasonal shopping sensation, Moonlight Madness, is just around the corner, and Humboldt’s businesses along with the Humboldt Downtown Business Improvement District are gearing up. Moonlight Madness takes place on Thursday, November 21.
Along with the standard features and entertainment that’s expected with the merchants’ seasonal liftoff, shoppers can expect some new features.
RCMP confirm three killed in yesterday's Highway 4 crash
RCMP have confirmed three locals died in yesterday's two-vehicle collision.
The crash occurred at 3:30 p.m. on Highway 4, roughly six kilometres south of Swift Current, near the intersection of Highway 363.
Investigation determined that a southbound SUV and a northbound car collided. The driver and two passengers of the car were declared deceased at the scene.
The car's occupants have been identified as a 41-year-old female, a 14-year-old female, and a 13-year-old female. They were all from the Swift Current rural area.
Gleichen RCMP locate missing teenager
RCMP has announced that 16-year-old Pashence Wolfchild has been found.
The teenager went missing on Monday (Nov. 4) and was last seen at Siksika Nation.
Newly renovated dental clinic provides low-cost dental services to children
Children in need of low-cost or no-cost dental work now have a new and updated clinic to attend.
The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority unveiled recent renovations completed at the SMILEplus dental clinic located in Macrhay School on Wednesday morning.
Estevan sees negligible snow in first winter system of Saskatchewan
Estevan saw its first bit of snow overnight, though anyone who woke up this morning likely only saw wet and cold ground.
The larger system mainly impacted western regions, with a few highways near Swift Current even closing down temporarily.
The southeast made out a lot better with Environment Canada Meteorologist Stephen Berg giving the totals.
Trans-Canada reopens at St. Francois Xavier after morning accident

A press release has announced that the Trans-Canada highway is now open by St. Francois Xavier is back open, after a collision earlier today.

Ice is being blamed for an accident on the Trans-Canada highway 60 kilometers east of Portage this morning. The accident happened on the bridge over the Assiniboine River near the white horse statue at St. Francois Xavier.
Eastbound lanes (lanes going toward Winnipeg) were closed most of the day due to the accident but reopened just after 5 p.m.
Snow fall heaviest in Cypress Hills
Yesterday snow snowstorm wasn't the biggest, but it certainly left its mark in southwest Saskatchewan.
The storm, which originated in Alberta, arrived yesterday morning and lasted until roughly 5:30 p.m. in Swift Current.
Snowfall totals haven't been recorded for the Swift Current region, but Cypress Hill got hit the hardest on record, receiving 12 centimetres of snowfall.
On the other end of the record, Kindersley only received two centimetres.

Culvert installation will close a road in Foothills County
A culvert is going to be installed in Foothills County, causing a road to be closed for the day.
The Public Works Department for Foothills County will be closing a portion of 336 St E on Wednesday (Nov 6) so they can install a culvert.
The road will be closed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., so the work can be completed.
Traffic can detour around the work using either 466 Ave or 304 St E.
