Daytime warmups, nighttime freezes: prepare for slippery conditions
Daytime highs in the plus double digits are expected this weekend thanks to a high-pressure system moving out and a warm push from the west is on its way.
Meteorologist with Environment Canada Stephen Berg said overnight lows being into the double minus digits could make for a true freeze-thaw.
"It might end up getting some pooling on surfaces and then overnight some ice developing and might get a bit slippery in places, so people will have to be careful in certain areas where there's still a fair bit of snow melt going on."

The economy shed 33,000 jobs in March, the biggest loss since January 2022, while the unemployment rate ticked higher, Statistics Canada said Friday.
The agency said the unemployment rate for March rose to 6.7 per cent compared with 6.6 per cent in February.
The hit came amid increased uncertainty caused by U.S. tariffs that have threatened economic growth.
The job losses reversed some of the gains made at the end of last year and into January.
