U18 AA Estevan Apex Bruins close out season with weekend loss in league finals

Another Estevan hockey team has closed up shop for the season, after being part of a great playoff run. The U18 AA Estevan Apex Bruins managed to make it to their league finals, before losing in two games to the Martensville Marauders.

The first game saw them fall 2-1 in overtime back in March, before they lost another game this weekend.

Moose Jaw makes noise in Judo Provincial Championships

The 2025 Judo Saskatchewan Provincial Championships have wrapped up, marking the end of the 2024/25 judo season in Saskatchewan. The event was held at Vanier Collegiate, with 219 participants from 13 clubs across the province.

Moose Jaw Koseikan Club proudly retained their title as Provincial Champions for the second consecutive year. Regina's Shinmura Judo Club secured second place, while Swift Current Judo Club finished in third.

Jaman commits to University of Augustana Vikings

After three seasons in green and white, 20-year-old Kindersley Jr. Klippers goaltender Cody Jaman has committed to the University of Augustana Vikings of the ACAC for the upcoming season. 

Coming to Kindersley for the 2022–23 season, Jaman started 89 games in his Klippers career for a 3.55 goals-against average and .900 SV%. Sharing starts for each of the last three years Jaman also started six playoff games, earning a win in Game 4 of this year's first round series against the Melfort Mustangs.

Master craft! Moxham and Michie help team claim Canadian curling championship

Curling season finds itself quickly winding down, and two Portagers will be coming home with some extra hardware following the Canadian Masters Curling Championship.

Dean Moxham and Dale Michie have been curling together for around 3 decades, and for the first time ever, they got to curl in this championship together.

Golding backstops U15 AAA female Selects to championship

It came down to a deciding game number five but in that winner take all contest, the Eastman Selects U15 AAA team exploded offensively and Evangeline Golding posted a shutout, winning the championship game 9-0.

Golding admits it's still sinking in that they are league champions. "It's something," the humble star says. "It's really exciting and it's a special memory for myself and my teammates."
