Hellebuyck answers MVP chants with playoff shutout

The Winnipeg Jets responded with urgency in Game 2 of their second-round playoff series, taking an early lead and maintaining control throughout a 4–0 win over the Dallas Stars to even the series at one game apiece.

The Jets played much more like the Jets of the regular season, and that goes for Connor Hellebuyck as well. He would end up stopping 21 shots on his way to a shutout. It's his fourth playoff shutout of his career, and his first since 2021. Hellebuyck now has a record of 18-1-1 in the last 20 home games.

Quarterbacks:

Benjamin part of goaltending factory in Gull Lake

There must be something in the water in Gull Lake.

In three of the last four years, goaltenders from Gull Lake have been picked in the WHL Prospects Draft.

2025 was no exception as the Calgary Hitmen nabbed Josh Benjamin in the 10th round.

But does he know why all these goalies are coming from a town of under 1000 people?

"I don't know," Benjamin said. "We just have a lot of dedication. All of us goalies have skated with each other and kind of know each other pretty well. It helps that we all know each other."

Rotar enthusiastic about being drafted by Broncos

It was a moment Cohenn Rotar will always remember.

"I was sitting in my living room with my family watching the draft," Rotar said. "I was hoping that maybe Swift Current takes me, it's an awesome program, and I'd love to go there. When I heard my name it's a surreal moment. Everyone dreams of hearing their name in the WHL draft. It's one of the best moments I'll ever have."

While getting drafted was a moment of validation, Rotar knows he has a lot more to do.

"I've been thinking about it a lot, I guess it's a little emotional sometimes," he said. "Then you start to think of some of the things I won't have to worry about as much. I've been blessed to just have amazing guys, that have helped me as coaches... That have turned out to be really good friends."
