Nick Arbuckle leads Argonauts to Grey Cup victory over Blue Bombers
For the 19th time overall, the Toronto Argonauts are Grey Cup Champions. On Sunday, the Argonauts defeated the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 41-24, as the Argos beat the Blue Bombers are the second time in the last three years.
Winnipeg has lost the last three straight Grey Cup championship games.
Broncos cash in on Millionaires and shutout by Hawks during Family Weekend
The Humboldt Broncos managed a split during their Family Weekend picking up a 3-1 win against the Melville Millionaires but were shutout by the Nipawin Hawks the next night 1-0.
Edouard Gauthier made his return to the Broncos crease on Friday night after being sidelined for nearly a month with an injury. He made 37 saves against the Millionaires as the Broncos picked up their third straight win against Melville over a two-week span.

Gold Wings offense explodes in exhibition series against U.S. College team
The U18 AAA Weyburn Gold Wings wrapped up their weekend with the second of two exhibition games against the Dakota College Lumberjacks, a junior college team out of Bottineau, North Dakota. After a big 7-1 win on Saturday, the Gold Wings managed to keep up the level of offence for the second game, scoring five goals in the first period alone as they skated to a 7-2 win.

While the Moose Jaw Warriors took the weekend off, general manager Jason Ripplinger was working overtime, making a number of trades.
The team announced yesterday that defenceman Kalem Parker was traded to the Calgary Hitmen for 15-year-old forward Nathan Gardiner, as well as three draft picks. The Warriors announced Friday the acquisition of 18-year-old defenceman Ryder Ellis and two draft picks from the Lethbridge Hurricanes in exchange for 19-year-old defenceman Vojtech Port. The Warriors also added overage defenceman Keaton Dowhaniuk.

Bombers stunned in Grey Cup as Argos’ backup QB Arbuckle shines
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers’ bid for a third Grey Cup in five years ended in heartbreak as the Toronto Argonauts delivered a commanding 41-24 victory in the 111th Grey Cup.
Toronto’s victory was led by backup quarterback Nick Arbuckle, thrust into the spotlight after starter Chad Kelly sustained a leg injury in the Eastern Final.
Arbuckle rose to the occasion, throwing for 252 yards and two touchdowns in a poised performance that belied his backup status.
Wildcats battle Sharks to overtime in Rosetown
Anneka Aspaas scored her second of the game as the Battlefords Sharks overcame a Swift Current comeback for a 3-2 win in overtime on Saturday.
It was a battle of the top two teams in the Saskatchewan Female U18 AAA Hockey League at a neutral site in Rosetown.
Maggie Rauckman and Aspas scored for the Sharks in the first period as they took an early lead.
The Innovation Federal Credit Union Wildcats' comeback started with a shorthanded goal from Team Saskatchewan forward Raela Packet early in the third period.
