A High River couple had their vehicles vandalized last night and a rock was thrown through their front window.
Garrett Farinelli is an American who married a Canadian woman who grew up in High River.
They fly both American and Canadian flags at their home.
Farinelli said that he didn't hear anything last night, but when he went to go to work before 6 a.m. he discovered what happened.

U.S. President Donald Trump has imposed tariffs on U.S. imports today coming from Canada and Mexico.
The president's executive order hitting Canada and Mexico with 25 per cent across-the-board tariffs, with a lower 10 per cent levy on Canadian energy, took effect at 12:01 a.m. ET.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is scheduled to talk more about Canada's response, which will include tariffs on $155 billion worth of American goods, at 10:30 a.m. in Ottawa.

The federal union that represents Canada’s front-line customs and immigration officers says it’s worried about staffing levels at the Canada Border Services Agency as the country responds to U.S. President Donald Trump’s tariff threats.

Annual report shows increase in traffic tickets and decrease in graffiti last year in Okotoks
Okotoks Municipal Enforcement (OME) presented their 2024 Annual Report at the Feb. 24 town council meeting.
Highlights included traffic enforcement, which saw an average of nine traffic patrols a day, increasing visibility in an attempt to deter speeding.
Over the course of 2024, officers reported 1,599 speeding incidents, a 51 per cent increase from the 1,061 in 2023.
A total of 1,265 speeding tickets were issued, representing a 57 per cent increase compared to the 804 from 2023.

Pool at the Bob Snodgrass Rec Plex closed due to potential safety risk
The pool at High River's Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex has been closed until further notice.
According to the Town, it's due to an issue with the main pump.
As the issue could be a safety concern, the Town is closing the pool until the issue is resolved.
The closure is not related to the Aquatic Centre renovations, says the town.

The Falcons competing for provincial playoffs this week
The Foothills Falcons are getting ready to play for provincial playoffs.
They did not have any games last week, but they spent their time practicing for the upcoming South-Central Zone Championship.
As part of this year's Zone Championship, teams from Foothills Composite High School, Holy Trinity Academy, Chestermere, Bert Church, George McDougall, and Croxford will all be competing to see who the zone champion is.

Missing buffalo skull found after being removed from beloved Okotoks art piece
A brass buffalo skull that went missing from a public art piece in Okotoks has been found.
The sculpture sits in the middle of Westridge Close Park, and features several buffalo skulls, with the topmost one having gone missing on the weekend of Feb. 22.
Installed by T'suu T'ina artist Rocky Barstad of High River in 1992, the art piece is beloved by the residents of Westridge Close, who rallied to find the skull after it was discovered missing.
